I Enjoyed My Day Exploring the Mile High City
Denver, Colorado also know as the “Mile High City” is a city buzzing with life, history, sports bars, restaurants and is the home to the baseball team the “Colorado Rockies.” I rose early to catch the “Bustang” a commuter bus that took me from Fort Collins right into the heart of Denver. I started my time in Denver with a free walking tour that took us around the highlights of the city. I then had lunch at a sports bar in the heart of the city. Later I rented a bike and cycled alongside Cherry Creek. I then met my cousin and uncle to head out to for dinner and then to the Rockies game.
We Waited 3 hours for the Rockies Game to Start….
If I had to write about one of my biggest disappointments while traveling I would say it was when I didn’t get to see the Colorado Rockies play due to the game being rained out. My Uncle Rich treated my cousin Kendall and I to a Rockies game. We bought Rockies T-shirts especially for it. Unfortunately Denver was having rainstorms that night (I was hot and sunny during the day!). So the game got cancelled. The biggest disappointment was that I was flying out the next day!! So I wouldn’t be able to see the game. I would have to wait until next time I came to Colorado!
If You Get the Chance Then Visit Denver!
I’m glad I got to see Denver only if it was just for the day. I would say my highlight was biking along the Cherry Creek (I don’t have any picture unfortunately). I had a great time with my uncle and cousin even if I didn’t get to see the Rockies. See you next time Denver, I’ll be back!
